it interesting you find this problem with custom lay outs..

I think there is a problem with custom lay outs also.

I have a dual monitor set up, main window with viewer and curve editor and dope 
sheet below in there own pane almost removed from view on left monitor and on 
the left monitor it own pane with node tool bar, DAG and properties, I save 
this lay out and slight variants of it but each time I go to pull the lay out 
up (one of them is set to default) the pane on the right monitor opens on top 
of the window on the left, maybe this is the root of the drag and drop problem, 
nuke does not know where the DAG is for drag and drop??
