not sure if this is the reason; from the release notes 7.02 Nuke 7 supports PRMan 15.2 and 16.4, and though other versions may work, using a version of PRMan other than these may produce unexpected behavior. See the Nuke User Guide, page 720, and the Nuke Reference Guide, page 399, for more information.
