Hi, I'm working on a shot from my student film where a character walks through
an alley (shot from a staircase pointing down). As the character exits the
shot, I want to create a camera movement going up, panning across the
wall/building till we get to the rooftop. To get a better understanding of the
scene, I've uploaded the plate (cropped) and a quick attempt of the camera
movement I imagine, though without painting the extension:

Camera movement: https://vimeo.com/59397095

For this attempt I projected the footage onto a sphere and animated the render
camera. I'm thinking to paint the set extension (floor, walls), project them
onto the sphere and match it up with my footage. Would I have problems with
this technique for my particular shot (given the movement I want) and what
better ways is there of achieving this?

Best regards,
Thomas
