Just to add some more to this: Yes, the standard AVI import of a 12bit cineform AVI trucates at 8 bits. No cineform encoded QT comes through, just get noise across all flavours.
DNxHD 444 produces vertical lines, but that's no good anyway as it's limited to 1080p and i need 2k. Nuke is a bit alone in all this, even Resolve brings these files in at the correct depths. As i mentioned first time i'm looking at 444 intermediates because i have to bounce between AE and Nuke (Antimatter is AE only and better than Nuke X DeNoise) and need the inbetween files and i'm limited in storage. I think even at best quality cineform is 5 times smaller than DPX/EXR files. cheers paul
