I have a server that I plan to use as a Linux render node for Nuke. Currently
I have Ubuntu Server running on it with xwindows configured. I do not have
gnome or any other desktop installed.

I'd like to know what is required to get a render node installed. Do I need
xwindows running to install/run Nuke? I'm currently trying to run the Nuke7
installer but I'm getting this error: Can't open display ""

I'm assuming that it's trying to launch an installer app that requires an
active window display.

Is there any way to do this all purely from the command line or will I need to
install something line VNC? I did get a decent slim ATI Radeon video card for
this server, so it does support OpenGL.

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Remember, this box is only
a render node so I'd like to avoid setting up gnome/kde/xfce if possible.

Thanks!
