Hi.
We are begining work on a movie that was shot with the Sony F65. The
footage we received is in EXR containing log data [sigh], and I suspect
this data to be in SLog2 and S-Gamut. I'm waiting confirmation on this.
Does anyone have a nice LUT of even better, a formula and a matrix to
convert from those two to linear gamma and sRGB gamut?
They gave us some luts, but they clip the hilights.
I played around a bit with the ICIO ACES config and I saw there is a
slogf65 to aces lut. Cool. But then I end up with aces data, which is
only halfway better. From there I can convert to sRGB for viewing but
only by using the RRT. However the colors and contrast don't match the
output from the luts they gave us. I suspect that's because of the
inherent film look contained in the RRT. It looks good, though. Is there
a way to convert from aces to normal sRGB for viewing, without using the
RRT?
Thanks.
