You can also use Nuke's integrated interlaced stereo viewer mode. This
doesn't require opengl quad buffer stereo, so you can use any graphics
card. You just need to plug into a horizontal interlaced stereo monitor.

You need:
1. a quadro or firegl card (nvidia/ati disable opengl stereo on the
game card drivers for geforce/radeon cards)
2. Active stereo glasses
3. an IR repeater for the monitor/video card to sync with the glasses
(usually this comes with the glasses "kit", but some newer mointors
have it built in on the top)
4. a 120hz+ monitor(optionally built in IR on top as mentioned in #3,
Asus, Samsung, LG, etc... all make the ones with the built in IR).
You can also do cheaper setups with passive stereo monitors. The
trouble is it takes over the entire screen so you have to use it as a
second screen with Nuke's viewer if you only have a single monitor you
would need to constantly turn it on/off which is a pain. The active
solution works in opengl so it can do it just in the viewer only
instead of the entire screen.

Hello
some of you has ever experienced with 3D hardware for Nuke?
Any ideas on what to buy for the best work stereo 3D environment?
PostPosted: Fri May 24, 2013 11:31 pm Post subject: Nuke 3D Stereo
System/Glasses
Hi
I need to work on a stereo job and I was looking for a good 3D
system for realtime feedback. I have a Quadro FX3700 nVidia Card
on Windows 8 OS.
I read about nVidia 3D Vision, but I see there is a "3D Vision 2"
version and a "3D Vision PRO" version, that is certified to work
with Nuke as well. Unfortunately there is a really HUGE difference
in price (around 150$ against 750$) and I was wondering if some of
you ever used nVidia 3D Vision (any version) to work with Nuke.
The "optimal system" I am looking for would be a main monitor with
Nuke (standard 2D) and a second control monitor with 3D glasses
(of course a 120 Hz monitor).
But I have still some confusion about the 3D Vision versions and
IF and HOW Nuke supports them and if yes, if they work in a second
monitor.
Any of you has ever worked in a pro environment with these glasses?
Thanks for any help
