Has anyone here ever attempted to implement a Droste infinite zoom in Nuke?

Is there any way to create/filter an image using python code directly?

I feel like this might have been doable using Shake's WarpX and a absurdly
long expression. Or maybe a similarly absurd Expression node in Nuke
feeding an STMap. But Ideally I'd want to be using python to directly
process the image.
