It's also the other way around, if you have an image format set and want
to render out multiple frames but haven't included any frame padding
(e.g. %04d or ####) in the filename.

You probably have a file name set that is a move file format (like
quicktime .mov) but also have %04d or #### in there, so executing the
render would imply creating a new .mov for every frame, which doesn't
make sense.
