ok I got that all in and now no errors but now nothing happens at all.
node selected, use menu and nothing.

the exrs do have camera translation data in the meta data stream.

so am stumped

will attach the two portions of python.

It needs the name of a read node as the argument.  Add the below to your menu.py so it uses your currently selected input as the arg:

nuke.menu(“Nodes").addMenu("3D").addCommand("Create Camera from Vray EXR", "createExrCamVray.createExrCamVray(nuke.selectedNode())")
