Ron, I did try the curvetool but avg intensities by default samples the entire 
image, or you can specify a square ROI, which for something that isn't square 
and is moving across the frame wasn't really a timesaver.

Hiya,

This might be a silly question but is there an easy way to track and roto an 
area, then deduce the average colour value for that area across a frame range? 
My thinking is I would then be able to plug this value into a constant and get 
a reasonably accurate colour match as things move across the frame.

I thought I would be able to use the CurveTool (Avg Intensities) but it doesn't 
seem designed for this purpose.
