Yeah, that is another limitation of the system I'm using at the moment.
Ideally people would have n amount of votes per week or month, but I
can't do that at the moment.
I also didn't want to lock out people too quickly with a low amount of
votes. So I gave everybody a huge quota of votes and the ability to
spend up to 3 votes on one suggestion to signal a little, some and lots
of interest.
I know, it's a bit ghetto at the moment, sorry :-D

I think this is on purpose. You have a total number of votes that you
can distribute. So if you choose to spend all your votes on a single
wish that is okay. Though the amount of votes seems rather high for
that to work ;)

Thanks Frank, this is a great way to make sure Nukepedia stays
relevant to the needs of the community.
I did find out that you can vote more than once, which might skew the
data a little bit.

Hey Frank,

I agree that descriptions are really needed. Also it seems that
the poll system is not exactly well suited for further discussion.
Another thing (hope this hasn’t been brought up before): Is there
a reason that the creator is hidden? For some things
(*cough*Deep*cough*) it seems there is quite some interest and it
would be good to get in touch with people to see who’s got what
and see where things could go from there.
Cheers,
Thorsten

Hi Justin,
yes, I was thinking a bout that as well. I think if we use a
concise description for the suggestions and use the comments to
elaborate further, that would keep things tidy.
Thanks for bringing that up.

frank

Hi Frank,
That sounds cool ! I'm quite interested to help if some people
want to connect and work together to code & solve some
problems other users have.
I had a look at the vote section on Nukepedia; I have a
question :
- Are the ideas submitted "one sentence" only ? Or will we be
able to describe the problem in few lines and then suggest a
solution ?
I suppose sometimes, it will take more than a line to
communicate the needs and potential solutions.
I guess we can put the description in the comments.
Thanks !
Justin

Hi all,
I have set up an experimental voting system on nukepedia
to let people suggest and vote for tools/enhancements that
the user community could provide, since often there are
cool ideas around here that would be worth collecting.
The idea is that people that are interested in creating
custom tools (and have time to do so) can be inspired to
tackle stuff that others need.
Depending on how this works out, we could even consider
little sprints, where a bunch of people connect for a
weekend or so to tackle the top suggestions, and help each
other out in thee process.
As mentioned above, this is just a little experiment for
now to see if there is enough interest in the community to
contribute ideas and votes.
Cheers,
frank
P.S.: Sorry for the upcoming double post, I will post this
to the forums as well
