I'm in the same situation as you in that I have recently started on
projects with my own setup. I did see the Intel compute stick which is like
a dongle for all intents and purposes, but is actually a full blown
computer that can come preinstalled with Windows or Ubuntu so it could work
as a portable license server, avoiding the issue of remote access.

Not ideal, but something to consider while the Foundry work out what they
want to do with their licensing scheme to accommodate more freelancers.
