Hi Andrew,

I have developed various workflows for EXR, Nuke & Photoshop, depending on
which path you’re following. I would be happy to share what has worked for us
if you want to correspond privately about it. I have shared info in the
discussions on the Foundry Community Discussion Forums before, so it’s not that
I want to keep anything secret. I just don’t have the time right now to debate
the advantages and disadvantages for various alternate workflows. I can tell
you what works for us and you can decide if it fits into what you’re trying to
accomplish. I spent (many) hours researching and trying out combinations before
stumbling upon what works for our situation. Maybe your needs are similar? Any
time Adobe Photoshop and ICC Profiles get into the mix, it can get very…
“interesting”... ;^)

Most of our deliverables end up as large, 8 bit sRGB, layered PSD files. We
also need to retouch EXR layered files for a return trip back to Nuke. What we
do is not complicated, but it requires strict adherence to a particular
workflow and preview setup in order to guarantee that "what you see is what you
get”!

Shoot me a reply if you’re interested and I’ll write up the steps we go
through, depending on the path that the images are following…
