- Arch has a very small baseThe vanilla packages mean we get a pure and unpatched GNOME. Arch usually has a latency of two weeks for putting new GNOME versions in the repos. This is lightning fast compared to Ubuntu or Fedora. Arch is also extremely small. The entire vm uses 3GB. Plus the repos are surprisingly vast, with the Arch User Repository comprising almost the entire corpus of software that runs on linux. There is a fourth reason: I'm an arch user.
