OK, I'm glad to hear that.  For a moment during the discussion I
misunderstood your intent and thought you did disagree with this,
which worried me.  Sorry for the confusion and any noise caused.

I realize the sqrt() topic is a tricky one which I've deliberately
sidestepped, since I wasn't too interested in that particular case but
rather in the general principle.  I'll leave that discussion to
continue on scipy-dev for those who are intereseted in it.
