This year, we applied for the Google Season of Docs to particularly support the NumPy Comics project conceived by Mars, who has been instrumental in improving the NumPy documentation experience through design. We have mentioned this in our proposal [1], so we are not looking for any external technical writers for GSoD this year.
That said, we have quite a few documentation issues [2], both big and small, that you can contribute [3] to. You can reach out for help or discuss new ideas through the mailing list, GitHub issue tracker, Slack or attend our community meetings. The details for which can be found on the Community page [4].
