Thanks for the link. If we move to git, we will also develop a suggested workflow and post it online so that anyone should be able to just cut-and-paste the git commands. As Matthew mentioned both ipython and nipy have adopted the same workflow: https://cirl.berkeley.edu/mb312/gitwash/development_workflow.html The idea of the above document is not to teach people how to use git in general, but just for the specific way git is used in the development workflow for nipy and ipython. If you have some time to look at the ipython/nipy workflow, it would be useful to know how helpful you think a document like this would be for SVNers switching to git.
