Public bug reported: When trying to load a C++ mixed assembly, I found that NUnit threw an unhandled exception rather than reporting a reasonable error. It turns out this also happens if you try to load any file that is either not a valid PE file or not a .NET assembly.
We should give an intelligent error message instead. ** Affects: nunitv2 Importance: High Assignee: Charlie Poole (charlie.poole) Status: Fix Committed ** Changed in: nunitv2 Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: nunitv2 Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: nunitv2 Assignee: (unassigned) => Charlie Poole (charlie.poole) ** Changed in: nunitv2 Milestone: None => 2.6.2 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of NUnit Developers, which is subscribed to NUnit V2. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1069499 Title: Exception thrown when trying to load an assembly not built for .NET Status in NUnit V2 Test Framework: Fix Committed Bug description: When trying to load a C++ mixed assembly, I found that NUnit threw an unhandled exception rather than reporting a reasonable error.
