You're not the first person to suggest that! It's possible, although I don't have a lot of time to spend on setup...
Another thought: I was initially looking for a camcorder with wifi and dlna capabilities, thinking I could walk around within wifi coverage and use the camcorder as the Mac's cam. But after some research, it didn't seem like what I wanted was a typical solution. But that would be absolutely ideal!
