Sorry I missed this as well! Was caught up in a lengthy internal discussion. Here’s a quick update on my activities:
During the last sprint I made a lot of progress on the spatial pooler. I fixed the implementation of boosting in the new SP and added a good test of this. I also fixed some intermittent test failures. I have identified at least one more issue with the new SP and am hopeful we can switch over to it permanently once those are addressed. I am also working on a simple prototype of Jeff’s Random Distributed Encoding<http://lists.numenta.org/pipermail/nupic_lists.numenta.org/2013-October/001684.html>idea. I want to get this working. This will fix many of the issues we have with min/max with the current scalar encoder.
