Hi Kevin, I strongly recommend you should rewrite the CLA.. Its fun . I have written one.. It dint work initially but now I have a working CLA. my old non functional CLA is on github, i may upload the new working one, but i dont know if it would help u.though it has lot of comments, It looks convincing and easy to me because i have designed it, not sure it might help u. Now I am designing CLA to learn for eg 10 different sequences and then recall the correct sequence from a part of sequence given as input to the system. Its like learning 10 songs and then recalling a song based on few notes given as input in a sequence. Beauty of this CLA is its actually a content based recalling system.. Even if there are 10000 songs learnt, recalling efficiency wont be hampered as system is not going to check each of the 10000 song to see which one is the one required.
My future project would be to build another CLA that takes inputs from one CLA and generates another sequence that might be a motor output. This may not look too interesting at the moment as I am not sure about its applications, but I like it. I would be presenting it this Hackathon.
