On the SoN 2014 idea list item 4 says: Research connection capabilities between CLAs and biological (wet) neural networks (and spiking ANNs)
As far as I understood it, this research idea is about connecting CLAs to neural networks, but has there ever been an attempt to implement the memory-prediction framework spiking neurons? Maybe in the very early phase of the project? Or are there already detailed ideas about connecting the CLA to a spiking neural network? I apologize that this question is not really Nupic-related since it asks for a completely different implementation of the memory-prediction framework, but such an implementation would really be interesting for me as a PhD student in computational neuroscience. Would be cool if someone could point me to some literature going in that direction... Thanks!
