Hey all, I've spent a lot of time this week giving our wiki a major facelift. After reviewing other wikis of successful software projects, I decided we needed a Home page that was much more than just a TOC.
Notable changes: 1. The Getting Started page [1] is deprecated in favor of the wiki "Home" page [2]. I think the first page people see when they come to the wiki should be sufficient to help them get started. All the guidance within the original getting started page is within the "Installing and Building NuPIC" page [6]. 2. Home page [2] has been switched from a TOC into a simple and gentle introduction to the major topics of the wiki. 3. New Sidebar [3] for easy navigation between major topics. 4. The "Getting Started With NuPIC" section [4] consists of a "flow" from topic to topic, so readers can move logically from Theory [5] --> Installing and Building [6] --> Using NuPIC [7] --> Learning NuPIC [8] --> Contributing [9]. (See the navigation boxes at the bottom of each page.) 5. Added guidance for wiki contributions [10]. 7. Lots and lots organizing within the major topics listed within the Home page This is by no means complete. (A wiki is NEVER complete!) If you would like to help maintain our wiki, please read through the "Contributing to the Wiki" page [10] and peruse through the links below. I've marked several pages with a "help wanted" graphic where we still need to add content. The "Using NuPIC" page [7] is particularly lacking. I'll continue working on this, but I'm so tired of wiki editing I'm about to punch myself in the face.
