Hello all, As part of my thesis, I’m looking into different ways to compare CLA to other machine learning algorithms. I’ve shared a chapter a few weeks back about SP as a clustering mechanism. Currently, I’m moving forward to another feature of CLA, feature extraction. I’m interested in any thoughts about CLA’s capability in that respect and what algorithms would be good candidates for a comparative study (DBNs with boltzmann machines, SOMs, convolutional networks, etc).
Also, I’d appreciate some thoughts on which application would be the best way to demonstrate feature extraction/learning in CLA. I’m leaning towards visual but I’m concerned with the deprecation of the reconstruction mechanisms.
