Nice work on your paper! Regarding the use of Francis Crick's quote, you
should check out Bernard Baars's Global Workspace Theory. In fact, there
is a computational implementation of this theory (partially implemented)
called LIDA, available here: http://ccrg.cs.memphis.edu/framework.html.
