I don't think the models we have here are suitable for Open Source Brain. The models there are theoretical neuroscience (computational neuroscience) models which model biological neurons suitable for neuron simulations (such as NEURON, NEST or GENESIS). This is a much lower level of abstraction than HTM theory which attempts to model the brain at a functional level rather than the neuron or molecular level, and for the purposes of machine learning, not brain simulation.
Perhaps as the Human Brain Project progresses and the models of cortical columns, clusters of cortical columns and eventually entire nuclei are developed (which should be made available to the Open Source Brain community), large models that implement HTM theory will be available (which will serve as a nice validation, or possibly further roadmap for HTM theory itself).
