Ok that was awesome! One thing that might go unnoticed is how helpful it is to experience the "language" around a particular topic. Being at Numenta and being part of conversations allows one to experience terminology that contributes subtle understandings that one wouldn't get by just reading the mailing list. The language **around** a topic is very important and contributive as well.
An example of this is when Subutai talks about "common spatial patterns" and "common sequences" and how "topology" restricts the space as opposed to the entire HTM observing all fields - just that reference to the nature of topology lends depth and nuance to the view of what characteristics to expect in the behavior of the HTM. It's very difficult to express what I'm trying to say - but **suffice** it to say that these videos are extremely helpful not only in the direct addressing of a particular topic but also in the **exposure** to language used to **THINK** about a particular topic and express thoughts on and around a particular topic. Keep them coming! ;-) Cheers, David On Fri, Oct 16, 2015 at 9:43 PM, Matthew Taylor <[email protected]> wrote: > Thanks to Subutai for doing this!
