I will respect the Christmas date for 2.4.0 release!
It has already been too much postponed, and the trunk will soon
contain enough things to really justify a major release in urgence.
so if blazer* are in, it's nice. and if sub devs are also in, it's excellent.
otherwise, it will be for a later release... at worst, the former can
be added during -pre cycle.
that leaves you ~2 months, so ~4 times what you need to develop a new driver ;-)

all in all, the progress to 2.4 so far aren't that bad, but a good
bunch of things is still remaining.
