Not yet. The problem is indeed solved with using 'QS\r' for reading the status. The only other command that is send to the UPS is 'M\r' for which we get the rather non-descriptive response 'V\r'. No idea what that means, but the queries seem to be getting through without that. The remainder of the log you send shows some 'standard' permissions problems, which don't have to deal with the driver. These will be over if you setup udev properly, which should happen automatically with nut-2.2.2 (the VID:PID combination is already used by the megatec_usb driver).
