$ sudo upsdrvctl start Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.4.1 Network UPS Tools - PowerCom protocol UPS driver 0.12 (2.4.1) data receiving error (0 instead of 11 bytes)
Read 'man 8 powercom' first before asking for help on nut-upsuser. This is the development mailing list and you haven't provided convincing evidence this isn't a configuration issue. You'd have a much better change of getting a useful answer there too.
The driver should expect 16 bytes for the BNT series so apparently you haven't configured the driver properly. The man page should help you out.
