I have one remark. Probably not very helpful in solving this
problem, but worth fixing anyway. There are quite a couple of calls
to upslogx where the level is hardcoded to 1, 2 or 3. While
technically not wrong, it might not be what you intended to do.
Could it be that you meant to use upsdebugx instead?
