Thanks, that's it! For some reason, I remembered it as a "fakeups"
driver and tried to find it. Bad memory is one which stuffs too
much garbage ;)
Another technique is to connect a real UPS with a dummy load (e.g.
lamp stand), but plug the server in somewhere else, so that the power
doesn't really go off when you unplug the UPS, but you get all the
signals from the real drivers. You should try this after things
are working with the dummy driver.
And finally, of course, actually unplugging the UPS the server is
plugged into.
