This I think. contained the seeds of a fix because I am IIRC using the stretch pkgs. Or am I? I could just as easily stepped into /usr/src, copied from the old drive and done a make clean, make, and become root to do the make install. At my ago, long term memory is figuring out what I am doing about dinner, and still remembering it after I've walked the 25 feet to the kitchen to make it. So I think the error message, which you said could ignored, is still there. Its otherwise working. Thank you Charles.
