The differences are correlated with the value returned in ups.firmware, so I 
suspect we have two different microcontrollers inside.

Older devices (such as the ones already in the DDL) are in the format 
"6xx.yy.I", and newer devices (ones that expose a limited set of variables over 
HID, and more variables over Modbus) look like "UPS ##.# / ID=####".
