That's an older model and I don't know of any instances were we/someone tested 
it with Network UPS Tools. You're using  the tripplitesu driver that would have 
been my first guess.

If anyone has had success with the SU6000RT3UPM or the older 
SU8000RT3UPM/SU10000RT3UPM that did NOT have USB ports, the communications are 
effectively the same.

Is there a network card connected? I ask for 2 reasons:
1- Curious if you see any different results with the network card disconnected
2- It should support RFC 1628 (UPS MIB), which could allow for use of SNMP for 
monitoring via NUT
