That's an older model and I don't know of any instances were we/someone tested it with Network UPS Tools. You're using the tripplitesu driver that would have been my first guess.
If anyone has had success with the SU6000RT3UPM or the older SU8000RT3UPM/SU10000RT3UPM that did NOT have USB ports, the communications are effectively the same. Is there a network card connected?
