What model?is It proper for desktop pc?
depending on your electrical quality, you have the choice between:
- protection center: http://www.mgeups.com/products/pdt230/smallups/pcenter/index.htm
- Ellipse ASR: http://www.mgeups.com/products/pdt230/smallups/easr/ellipse.htm
The UPS selector is there for sizing:

And it's true that MGE supports NUT, and more generally the Opensource / Free Software (not up to date, but gives an idea): http://opensource.mgeups.com/contrib.htm
