Finally, working. Tweaked the Debian init script to point to the new paths. Thanks to everyone who stuck with my attack of n00b. The version that will ship with Ubuntu hardy doesn't work with the Belkin Active Battery Backup series . Specifically this version: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/lib/nut# ./megatec_usb.old -V Network UPS Tools 2.2.1 - Megatec protocol driver 1.5.9 [megatec_usb.old] Carlos Rodrigues (c) 2003-2007 Serial-over-USB transport layer for Megatec protocol driver [megatec_usb.old] Andrey Lelikov (c) 2006, Alexander Gordeev (c) 2006-2007, Jon Gough (c) 2007 The one from trunk does: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/local/nut/bin# ./megatec_usb -V Network UPS Tools 2.3.0-1306 - Megatec protocol driver 1.5.12 [megatec_usb] Carlos Rodrigues (c) 2003-2008 Serial-over-USB transport layer for Megatec protocol driver [megatec_usb] Andrey Lelikov (c) 2006, Alexander Gordeev (c) 2006-2007, Jon Gough (c) 2007 (and I know /usr/local isn't the best place to put it) Hope that this helps a bit...
