I'm interested in seeing if it's similar to SHUT: same HID as in USB, but over a serial link. this was made by MGE, and is now used by Eaton. but APC may be using it too, since many MGE engineers stayed there. if you want to help, could you try to snoop the serial communication between windows driver and the UPS? cheers, Arnaud
