Hi

I have a serial UPS connected using a serial2USB device. Usually it is port=/dev/ttyUSB0, but occasionally i need port=/dev/ttyUSB1. How do you guys
handle something like this?

Could some udev persistent device naming rules help with this? I've done
that with usb harddisks before but not serial ports.

The udev rules need something unique to latch on to, so hopefully the serial-to-USB device has a USB serial number, or is a different model or brand than the other converters that you use.
