Hi,
this was the answer. This cured the problem:
systemctl stop NetworkManager.service
systemctl disable NetworkManager.service
systemctl enable network.service
systemctl start network.service
Big thanks to Charles Lepple! And the authors
of nut, I'm again a happy nut user/sysadmin.
