In the one 9130 log I found in the archives, it doesn't look like the event log 
is exposed to the HID interface. It might be hidden, though.

Could you please send the output of 'lsusb -vvv -d0463:' (might be best to stop 
the driver first, and run lsusb as root), as well as 'path/to/usbhid-ups -a 
upsname -x vendorid=0463 -DD' (let it run for about a minute)?

I'm guessing on the USB vendorID - it might also be 0592 (Powerware) instead of 
0463 (MGE/Eaton).

Also, if you prefer, you can mask out the last digits of the serial number in 
the logs.
