I saw you got the answers you asked for. But I just wanted to chime in, saying that I was in a similar situation as you. I have a TrippLite Omni1500LCDT which I was attempting to use. I ran into similar USB problems with the TrippLite. I documented my experiences with the TrippLite in this thread: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsuser/2017-May/010655.html And my experinces with the CyberPower in this thread: The CyberPower UPS that I'm using now has worked flawlessly. It was tested "in production" with the big storm that blew through the Northeast US a week or so ago. (The TrippLite is now doing duty on my home entertainment center where all it has to do is be a UPS.
