No, not at all, whereas I haven't seen that you already implemented OpenSearch (src/java/org/apache/nutch/searcher/OpenSearchServlet.java) resp. http://opensearch.a9.com/spec/opensearchrss/1.0/ I think it would make sense to add a link to this servlet from the search.jsp.
