I am trying to use Nutch in my program to crawl some sites and I would like to access Nutch directly instead of using the tools. So do I have to close the NFS and DB Writer after I injected the URLs to the database and reopen them again to generate a fetchlist and close them, and re-open again to fetch and so on?
You need to close the db writer. Modifications to the db are queued and performed on close, so they will not be seen by a db reader until the db has been closed and a new reader created.
