The only thing I was concerned about was the new indexer framework and how it integrated with the Solr patches. But it turns out that while it doesn't integrate with solr, the functionality isn't affected either. So I feel good to go for a 1.0 release. +1.
I discovered today that the Solr/Nutch integration introduced some loss of functionality too. Namely, NutchDocument that is now used instead of Lucene Document doesn't allow to set boosts on individual fields, only a single boost for the whole document. As it happens, I have a few custom plugins that use this feature, and they cannot be ported to the latest Nutch.
I will of course report it in JIRA, but it's probably too late to change this before 1.0.
