Not sure if this can be interesting. Ning released a new Asynchronous HTTP Client library as open source. Its purpose is to allow Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process the HTTP responses. http://code.ning.com/2010/03/introducing-nings-asynchronous-http-client-library/
