I like to think of is as Emulation is a sign of flattery :) Every slashcode site looks like slashdot, every phpnuke site looks like phpnuke, yet they all know where the roots come from.
Should be flattered that i've taken the basis of the design and made it into what mozdex is today :) Anyhow, i've made some progress on the latest CVS head that Doug put out with Lucene 1.4 and we are already up to about 85million pages indexed. I'm going to shoot for 150 million urls and announce it sometime next week when we have the fresh index online. I'm going to use that index to compile some benchmarks with the latest and greatest as well as try benchmarks with different JVM's (Ibm vs Sun as well as 1.4 vs 1.5) and even try Linux kernels 2.4 against 2.6 and drop that to the list. I will also have some exciting partnerships to announce next week that will afford me some more servers and offload the costs burden from my shoulder :) My wife is 9 months and 1 week past due with her pregnancy so i will be bowing out for a couple of days to be with her. Look forward to publishing my stats and working with nutch to make it the best search solution it could possibly be. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: SourceForge.net Broadband Sign-up now for SourceForge Broadband and get the fastest 6.0/768 connection for only $19.95/mo for the first 3 months! http://ads.osdn.com/?ad_id=2562&alloc_id=6184&op=click _______________________________________________ Nutch-developers mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/nutch-developers
