I just wanted to thank everyone for the beautifull project that nutch is :)
Just to notice, please no new discussion is
required, just that i think information should be available to everyone and
public.
Stephan,
Please stop this public mud-slinging campaign against Byron, or at least don't use this list for this purpose. I personally find your comments on Mozdex insulting and in extremely bad taste. Note: I'm not related to Mozdex or Byron in any way, except through this mailing list.
The information you quoted already _is_ public, and the way you bring it here serves no constructive purpose, except to vent off your bad feelings. As I said in the past, after checking the facts behind this purported case of "stolen identity" or whatnot, I find your arguments lacking merit and based on emotions rather than on facts. The fact is the Nutch license - I suggest re-reading it.
Again: if you don't like Byron, that's fine, but you should solve it off-the-list with him. If you don't like what Mozdex is doing with the Nutch code, you better start working on changing the license, because as it is today it is a perfectly legitimate use of the code. Other that that, please do us a favor and stick to a purely technical discussion, where you have been making a lot of good contributions.
Thank you.
