You may have misinterpreted my email as a complaint about Lucene's chosen platform, but I think Lucene's platform choice was exactly right, and I'm delighted with Lucene's degree of freedom. My point, however, stands: even though the reasons are almost obsolete, the free-software community still mostly shuns Java, so the sample in Doug's survey of developer attitudes was biased against the people who would have preferred the GPL. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Sybase ASE Linux Express Edition - download now for FREE LinuxWorld Reader's Choice Award Winner for best database on Linux. http://ads.osdn.com/?ad_id=5588&alloc_id=12065&op=click _______________________________________________ Nutch-developers mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/nutch-developers
